Order of Inspector General of Registration – in the Matter of Mohammad Shahid

Pursuant to Writ Petition filed by Mohammad Shahid in WP No 28412/2018 and WMP No 33136/2018 in Madras High Court.

Synosis: Mr. Mohammad Shahid who had purchased an unfinished house in Anugraha Satellite Township had filed a Writ Petition in the Madras High Court seeking its directions to the Inspector General of Registration, Registrar of Societies (Cuddalore) to declare the Anugraha Satellite Township Residents Welfare Association as unregistered/defunct, etc. And to conduct departmental proceedings against the Registrar of Societies, Cuddalore for not taking action on his representation dated 21-02-2018.

The Hon’ble Madras High Court directed the Inspector General of Registration to hear all sides, conduct enquiry and pass orders.

The IG of Registration heard our representations as well as Mr. Mohammad Shahid’s, conducted an enquiry and passed an order dismissing the petition as without merit.
